WBEZ Member Meet-up: I <3 Chicago Politics

Don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day? Get ahead of the game and guarantee your spot in a room full of political nerds. Politically minded WBEZ members are invited to a special live event celebrating your love of Chicago politics.

Note: This event is not just for single people, but you should be interested in beer and/or politics to fully enjoy.

WBEZ reporters Lauren Chooljian and Tony Arnold will guide you through an evening of games and performances that are designed to leave you more informed about the Chicago political process (without taking it too seriously).

You’ll start by hearing local political experts like Neil Steinberg, Kitty Kurth, Kevin Lampe and Richard Steele share stories on why they “heart” Chicago politics. After that, Alderman Ed Bus of the 53rd Ward will regale you with his thoughts on this election season. Then, we’ll close things down by playing a pub quiz testing your knowledge of the Chicago political machine.
